WESTVIEW, Ky. — The Westview community and Kentucky’s local music scene are mourning the sudden loss of Dale Jackson, owner of Twin Lakes Audio, whose passing has left friends, customers, and fellow musicians heartbroken.
Dale’s death was confirmed this week by Twin Lakes Audio, the business he built and ran with passion for years. The cause of death has not been publicly released.
To those who walked through his doors, Dale wasn’t just a shop owner — he was a mentor, a problem-solver, and a fixture of the community. Musicians from first-time players to seasoned pros knew they could count on him for honest advice, fair deals, and gear that sounded right because Dale made sure of it.
“Dale treated everybody like family,” said a longtime customer. “If your amp was blown before a gig, he’d stay late to fix it. If you were a kid saving for your first guitar, he’d knock something off the price and tell you to go practice. He loved music, but he loved people more.”
Twin Lakes Audio became a hub under Dale’s care — part store, part hangout, part community center for the Westview music scene. Bands formed there. Repairs happened there. Advice and encouragement were always free.
Since news of his passing, tributes have poured in across social media and at the shop itself. Notes, flowers, and photos now sit by the front door of Twin Lakes Audio, left by musicians and neighbors grieving a man who gave the community so much of himself.
Dale Jackson’s impact is measured in the songs recorded, the shows played, and the players he believed in. His sudden loss is felt deeply across Westview and beyond.
The family has requested privacy as they grieve. Details regarding memorial services have not yet been announced.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives — and music — he touched.
