HAMLET, N.C. — Patrick Ryan Collins, 31, of Hamlet, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, leaving family, friends, and coworkers in mourning.
Born September 7, 1994, in Richmond County to Ronald Collins and the late Shirley Unger Collins, Ryan was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School, Class of 2012, and Richmond Community College. He was employed by Campbell Soup Company, where colleagues remember his work ethic and easygoing nature.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoyed playing golf and spending time playing video games with his sister, Cameron. Friends describe him as loyal, funny, and someone who made time for the people he loved.
“He was the best brother I could’ve asked for,” his sister Cameron Smith said. “Whether we were on the golf course or just on the couch with a controller, he made everything more fun.”
The family asks for privacy as they grieve. Those who knew Ryan are remembering his smile, his love for family, and the quiet ways he showed up for others.
