ENTERPRISE, Ala. — A Saturday night house party in Enterprise turned violent when gunfire left two people shot and a third injured, police said.
Enterprise Police responded at 9:40 p.m. Saturday to a home in the 1800 block of County Road 721 on a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found one victim had sustained injuries from an assault and a second victim had been shot.
While on the scene, police learned a third person had also been shot and was transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
The extent of the victims’ injuries was not immediately available Sunday morning. Police have not released the victims’ names or ages.
Authorities said officers had responded to the same home earlier in the evening on noise complaints related to a house party prior to the shooting.
Investigators were still processing the scene late Saturday and into Sunday. No information about a suspect or arrests has been released. Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Enterprise Police Department.
The incident shook neighbors along County Road 721, where residents said the party had drawn a large crowd before the violence broke out.
“It was supposed to be a party. Now three people are hurt,” one neighbor said. “It’s heartbreaking.”
The investigation remains active. Police said updates will be provided as more details become available.
