MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee family is heartbroken after 50-year-old Will Hogans was shot and killed in an overnight shooting Saturday, June 13.
Family members have identified the victim as Will Hogans. 💔💔💔
Milwaukee police said the shooting happened at around 12:40 a.m. near 24th and Wells Street. Officers responded to the scene and found Hogans suffering from gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.
No arrests have been made, police said Sunday.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. Milwaukee police are asking anyone with information to come forward to help identify suspects in connection to the shooting.
Loved ones described Hogans as a father and friend whose life was taken far too soon. Tributes began pouring in on social media as news of his death spread through the community.
“Will didn’t deserve this,” a family member shared. “He was loved. We need answers.”
The area near 24th and Wells was taped off for hours overnight as detectives collected evidence and canvassed for witnesses.
