TWIN FALLS, Idaho — A heartbreaking pedestrian crash involving a young child is under investigation after a 4-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle Monday night near Costco in Twin Falls.
According to authorities, officers responded at approximately 10:39 p.m. on June 22, 2026, to the 700 block of Pole Line Road following reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision.
Preliminary findings indicate that an 18-year-old man was driving westbound on Pole Line Road when his vehicle struck the 4-year-old child as the boy attempted to cross the roadway with his older siblings in an area not designated as a crosswalk.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and provided medical aid before the child was airlifted by Air St. Luke’s to receive emergency treatment. Officials have not released the extent of the child’s injuries, and his condition remains unknown.
The incident prompted an extensive emergency response involving the Twin Falls Police Department, Idaho State Police, Twin Falls Fire Department, Magic Valley Paramedics, and Air St. Luke’s. Authorities expressed gratitude to all responding agencies for their coordinated efforts during the critical response.
Following the crash, portions of Pole Line Road remained closed for approximately three hours as investigators documented the scene, gathered evidence, and worked to safely reopen the roadway.
