HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas — The community of Hughes Springs, Texas, is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Bryson Belk, a young athlete whose life was tragically cut short in a car accident.
His passing has left family members, friends, teammates, and loved ones devastated as they come to terms with an unimaginable loss.
Bryson is being remembered as a dedicated student-athlete whose energy, determination, and positive spirit made a lasting impression on everyone around him. Coaches and classmates describe a young man who showed up early, worked hard, and lifted up the people around him — on and off the field.
“Bryson was the teammate every coach wants,” one coach said. “He gave everything he had and he made others better. There’s a hole in this team and in this town.”
