WESTFIELD, Ind. — Graham Christopher Stidham of Westfield, Indiana, is remembered with profound sadness following his passing at just 7 years old after a tragic pedestrian accident while crossing the street.
His loss has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, friends, classmates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Graham was a student in Westfield, where teachers and fellow parents describe him as a bright, kind child with a big smile. At 7, he was known for his energy, his curiosity, and the joy he brought to his classroom and neighborhood.
“Graham was the kind of kid who made you smile just by walking into the room,” a family friend shared. “Seven years wasn’t long enough.”
Community in Mourning
Westfield Washington Schools and local officials confirmed the accident and are offering grief counselors for students and staff. The Westfield Police Department is investigating the circumstances of the pedestrian crash.
Neighbors have placed flowers, stuffed animals, and handwritten notes near the crosswalk where Graham was struck. A growing memorial reflects the community’s grief and support for his family.
“Westfield is hurting,” one parent said at the site. “No parent should have to bury their child. We’re all holding our kids a little tighter tonight.”
The family has asked for privacy as they grieve and make arrangements to honor Graham’s life.
