ROSEDALE, Miss. — A quiet Thursday afternoon in Rosedale turned tragic after a fatal shooting near Rosedale High School left one man dead and a Delta community in mourning.
The Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department has identified the victim as 31-year-old Miltorious Britton of Rosedale. He was killed in a shooting Thursday that drew a response from both the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office and the Rosedale Police Department.
Authorities are currently seeking 37-year-old Timothy Hall of Gunnison in connection with the shooting. The search for Hall remained active Thursday evening as deputies and officers worked to locate him.
Details about what led to the shooting have not been released. The incident occurred near Rosedale High School, though officials have not said whether the school was directly involved or if students were present at the time.
