SACRAMENTO, Calif. — It is with heavy hearts that the Sacramento Camp & Conference Center community shares the tragic loss of Maintenance Coordinator Steven Turner, who recently lost his life in an accident.
Steven was a valued member of the camp family, known to staff, campers, and visitors for his steady presence and dedication to keeping the grounds running. Colleagues remember him as someone who worked behind the scenes to make camp possible for others — always willing to lend a hand and fix what was broken.
“Steven cared about this place and the people in it,” a staff member said. “He was part of what made camp feel like home. We’re heartbroken.”
Celebration of Life Service
The camp invites family, friends, and the community to join in honoring his life and memory.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 20, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Sacramento Camp & Conference Center.
The camp asks that you keep his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him in your prayers during this difficult time.
