Parish Mourns Beloved Pastor Fr. Anthony Nyamai, Who Passed Away

With great sadness, the parish community is mourning the loss of Fr. Anthony Nyamai, who completed his salvation journey here on earth and has gone to be with the Lord. He passed away sometime during the night Friday into Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Fr. Anthony was remembered by parishioners as a shepherd of deep faith, compassion, and humility. For years, he served at the altar, in the confessional, and beside hospital beds, walking with families through their greatest joys and sorrows.
“Fr. Anthony met people where they were,” a longtime parishioner said. “He had a gift for making you feel seen by God. His homilies were full of grace, and his door was always open.”
Ministry leaders recalled his commitment to the sacraments, his love for the Eucharist, and the quiet way he cared for the sick and the grieving. Fellow clergy described him as a brother priest who led with prayer and gentle strength.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be posted by the parish when finalized.
The diocese asks that the faithful remember Fr. Anthony and his family in their prayers during this time of loss.
“He taught us to live for heaven,” another parishioner shared. “Now he sees the face of God he preached about so well.”
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
